Mr. Orlando (aka: "Mr. O")
Mr. O has been in the education field for the past 25 years. He gives credit for passion in teaching to his mother Maria, pictured with him above, for instilling a love for children, learning, and soaring in life, through happiness, love and kindess. In addition to his Degree in Early Childhood Education, Orlando is uniquely trained and certified in each of the eight learning modalities offered (Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio, RIE, DAP, Multiple Intelligences, High Scope).
He is confident, experienced, and comfortable with parent and guardian participation, communication, and interaction. This allows him to build strong bonds with families, ensuring the best possible experience for each child enrolled. With his international travels and extensive training, Orlando has connected with diverse educational establishments and multicultural families.
Mr. O is our Full-time teacher/mentor/guide/director who works closely with the host family to provide an exceptional program.
The Donegans
The Donegan's (Mrs. Tasha & Mr. Jerry) are our generous host family. All classes and operations are held out of their lovely home in Sylmar. They have designed their property specifically to cater to a learning space for children and thier families, in order to allow their son Kashton to thrive in a close knit, like minded family driven community. They have prepared a cozy classrom with natural light, art studio, fully operational kitchen, multi-level outdoor playground, outdoor mud kitchen, rock climbing wall, and a lovely well kept chicken coop.
The Donegans enjoy a holistic approach to learning and raising children. They find peace in knowing their child can thrive in a program with endless opportunities for growth and development, for years to come.
Tasha works closely with Mr. O, acting as the classroom co-teacher/guide, as well as operations laison for our Sylmar location. Mr. Jerry is our in-house handyman and garden/playground architect.
